Legal Research Assistant

This position will be responsible for:

• researching cases on the Supreme Court docket and other cases and legal issues,
• researching possible authors/speakers,
• speaking with experts by phone about participating in debates,
• researching special-interest groups with an interest in the topics being covered.

Qualified candidates will have:

• excellent research skills,
• interest in legal/constitutional issues,
• good oral and written communication skills.

Candidates must:

• have access to a computer with Internet access and basic office software (e.g.,Microsoft Office), as most of the work is done offsite
• be comfortable working at home or some other accessible location
• provide for their own transportation to weekly staff meetings (site is Metro accessible).

This internship is particularly suited for those interested in a career in law.
